Hello all, I just noticed VH-OQE positioned to Dreseden for reconfiguration...does anyone know how long it will be before it's back in commercial service with the new cabin?
Qantas source says both. If they are doing the d or c checks, it makes sense for them to do the reconfigure then.
The only reason for not doing the refurbishment would be the seats aren't ready. If this is a d check, then the aircraft should be out of action for well over a month.
I see they ran an extra flight to London so it could take fare paying passengers. I suspect it will take close to two months to do both a heavy maintenance and reconfigure the whole top deck.

Seems to be lots of conflicting reports if it is the reconfiguration or just heavy maintenance.
