More Perth-Christchurch flights from Air New Zealand

Virgin Australia partner Air New Zealand is sufficiently chuffed with the success of its seasonal non-stop service between Christchurch and Perth to lock in the route's return at the end of this year.

Air New Zealand CEO Christopher Luxon said the debut season, which ends in late April this year, has already proven very popular with travellers, enough so to bring it back twice-weekly from 13 December 2014 through to 25 April 2015.

“In this coming season we will offer more than 17,000 seats directly linking the two regions and we expect the flights to be popular once again with both leisure and business travellers” Luxon said of the Boeing 767 service.

Flights for the 2014-2015 season are on sale from today through Air New Zealand and from tomorrow through Virgin Australia.
