Novotel Bangkok Airport: have your included

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi airport hotel in Bangkok has changed its "room with breakfast" policy to mean "room with any meal you like".

The new Flexi Meal option gives you the chance to swap the hotel's breakfast buffet for its lunch or dinner buffets, or an Early Bird breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, body clock and how you're feeling.

There's no extra charge for the Flexi Meal service, provided that you've booked a room with breakfast included.

It's eminently sensible for an airport hotel, where jetlagged travellers are coming and going at all hours of the night.

All meals are taken in The Square, the hotel's 24-hour dining buffet restaurant.

The last thing you want -- especially coming off a 9 or 12 hour business class flight where you've probably been fed twice -- is to have to adhere to a set mealtime.

Of course, some travellers (especially those watching their budget) may prefer to have a larger meal at lunchtime and just pick up a coffee and a pastry for breakfast.

Flexi Meal follows on from the airport hotel's well-received 24 Hours Flexi room booking policy, where your room is yours for 24 hours after check-in rather than the usual 3pm to 11am "day".

The Novotel Suvarnabhumi airport hotel is five minutes from the airport on a 24-hour shuttle or seven minutes' walk in an air-conditioned walkway.
