Park Hyatt Sydney to re-open February 13

IN BRIEF | Sydney's Park Hyatt will open its doors next month following an intensive refurbishment that's taken nearly a year.

The hotel will officially re-open on February 13 to reveal a revamp incorporating elegant new rooms, swish new design and even a new floor, housing three panoramic suites – one of which is the largest suite in Sydney, at 350 m2.

Careful and thoughtful design, in muted modern tan shades, brings Sydney sandstone and local timber together, with lots of clean right angles to be found.

And if you're wondering why it's called an 'Opera Room', hazard a guess...

The intimate and stylish rooms feature "an art gallery of interior pieces including artefacts, books and artworks" on the bedroom shelves and walls in all 155 bedrooms, most of which enjoy floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto spacious private balconies.
