Interesting to read above that Bain (at least) been vox popping VA customers. Wish they'd asked me , tho suspect my comments would be the same as most other regulars : the successful suitor needs to honour current paid & points bookings and those conditional credits taken out for cancelled fl...

VX was bought by Alaskan Airlines in 2016 and, from early 2018, been full integrated ie. swallowed.

There is a large (disaffected, ex QF) body of FF'ers like me who will be devastated if VA2 comes back as a Tigerair cheap as chips LCC. I don't hear any partic good news on the service front about QF, nothing at all attractive about QF Intl fares, and (albeit on a reduced current sched) nothing f...

Was advised by an expert in SQ matters last year that you really shud phone to ask what is happening with the waitlist on a regular basis, partic as your flights are 2 months fwd. Apparently this is important for both upgrades and straight awards. You can always test how many F seats remain by mak...

Haad a representative sample of both VA and QF in J the last 6 months, domestic and trans-Tas, all in 737s. Some comments:Service/attentativness/personality - VA, unless you're lucky to get an old-school QF head hostie. Younger QF cabin staff nah! Food/drink - VA consistently better : smallish s...
