• Rex suspends all Boeing 737 flights

" ... and I'm sure they can get that waived by the lessors ..." - never a truer word QFP1, never a truer word.  Why, I'll bet the Lessors only comment was to remind Rex to lock the plans and don't leave the keys in the ignition.  Only the most foolish of Lessors would want their pl...

Rex isn't quite alone, judging from their eb site booking portal it seems Virgin has reduced it's SYD-MEL to one (1) return flight per day until the end of August (2021).  SYD-MEL departs 0700 arriving 0835, a quick clean before then departing MEL at 0915 arriving SYD 10:40.  We ne...

  • The article canvassed all of the features of both lounges, and its for readers to determine which ones matter to themselves (that decision can't be abrogated).  As a regular pre-pandemic user of Virgin's lounges at CNS, BNE, SYD and MEL (occasionally ADL too), I agree the ability to access a...

  • Personally, priority check-in, screening and boarding are more important to me that a dedicated business lounge, as always happy to mix with other travellers in the airline's lounge.  I'd imagine Virgin not likely to afford this on $299 fares with only eight business class seats per fli...

  • What are the prospects of SIA and Virgin allowing a transfer back of points moved from Virgin to SIA before Administration? Would be good revenue for Virgin.

I'd have asked the flight attendant if they could offer that person a complimentary set of buds, or failing that, can I buy him/her a set. I think most flight attendants would have taken the hint and sorted the situation out quite promptly.

  • What is there to do and see in Taiwan? Their tourism promotion body needs to start advertising down here, I suspect they'd get a fairly favorable uptake.

  • Given Lockdown 2.0 was caused by Victoria (relax, I'm one of them too), we're lucky the rest of Oz didn't reach for the Nuclear codes and press 'Launch' !!! We came so close .... SO $%#@ing CLOSE to a resumption of air travel within Australia. Not only cabin crew and pilots, but I suspect 3-4...
