I simply sent an email to "[email protected]" together with newly minted burgundy membership card, copy of my VFF card and travel journeys, politely asking for status match. Timestamp was 11:26a yesterday, before I saw David's post above. No reply as yet.

Unbelievable. Of course .... this could have been a Jackie Trad initiative only now discovered by Annastacia Palaszczuk when cleaning out Ms Trad's office. Not even Crazy Dan (Ivan) Andrews would step that far outside of his crease.

Yes, a couple of years ago I found myself around 32 short of keeping Gold, but had overseas flights 8 weeks after the review date adding over 400 SCs. I didn't want to travel on Silver, made a call and they willingly rolled over Gold (letting me then hit Platinum after returning to AUS).

Yes, I encountered similar on June 20th, but what many fellow travellers FAILED to notice was that the UPSTAIRS lounge was open and in much better shape. I think this is isolated to Sydney, because at BNE and MEL the lounge is always in top shape. I think the problem is also some travellers eat...
