Easily 5 years life before mid-life heavy service/engine swap, etc. Rex could dictate terms and lease on 3 or 4 years - financiers will have little choice. No, they'd have no choice, they'd be desperate to get them 'working' again (i.e. cash generating assets) and avoid having to writ...

Cough! Cough! Ah, with all due respect, Rex might very well want to call them 'lounges', but they are - at best- nothing more than an industrial-grade cafeteria with cheap carpet instead of lino. Rex know how to run a cheap airline, but the travelling public will better acc...

The absence of a lounge will work once, but over 90% have enjoyed lounges even of varying quality. But at their capital city airports Rex won't need 'lounges' per se if they can organise a well catered 'food court' at the top of their pier(s).

Virgin had a jet service (not the Fockers) do MEL-Mildura on a daily basis for last 5-6+ years. Bendigo and Ballarat too close to MEL. As for Tamworth/Armadale .....

You've hit it on the head, LIT. 10-out-of-10. If (big 'IF') Rex were to align arrival or regional turbo-prop services into capitals within 45 minutes before departure of inter-State services, they'd make a KILLING. Most country/regional pax would be happy with 'food court' style...

The Creditors meeting is scheduled for August 19th. Even with approval, I reckon it'd take another 2-3 weeks to 'activate' the regular (pre-March) in-flight catering for Business Class, which they really need to do even if Row 3 and back remains a spartan, quasi-BYO option. Virgin 2.0/Bain may ...

I had to speak to Virgin Velocity during the week on another matter (TravelBank dollars that 'expired' last week under the 12 month rule). There are a number of regular business operation matters that can't be 'progressed' (or re-introduced) until AFTER the August creditors meeting to formally a...

Have since learnt that 'Conditional Credit' has been issued with an August 15th, 2020 expiry date, and told to call back once Bain are formally owners after the creditors meeting. Conditional Credits get a new, separate TravelBank Account No., that's not visible online, hence record it safely an...

During the airline's suspension of regular flying, I had a $1,355 pre-Covid19 refund cancelled during Administration and at a time when the few domestic flights were of no tangible value. Any suggestions as to who I should approach/contact to ask for those funds to be re-instated?
