Not sure what you are doing but award searches for Tel Aviv to Melbourne works just fine doing it yourself on the website.

All of the Ryanair flights I've taken were fine. You don't get to become the world's largest airline (by number routes) without making a lot of customers happy. By the way check in is really easy using their app. I see they now also allow check in 60 days in advance.

OOL makes sense. It can capture Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne passengers with no backtracking and high frequency connections.

They only started selling their Adelaide flights four weeks before the inaugural flight so Sydney might be the same.

If you insist on booking and flying with Qantas then you better get used to being treated like this. They have a strong loyalty program and loyal fanbase which keeps them in business so there is no incentive for them to improve.
