I need to read the fine print to see what it says about Under 12s, especially toddlers. The general consensus globally seems to be that they should be exempt from needing a vaccine, but are not exempt for the testing.

  • Exactly this. "Then show must go on"US and UK are by no means the shining examples. AU government and health systems should be able to tolerate X amount of cases without locking down borders, economies etc. Victoria the obvious exception as they need a few weeks to get the 500-700 cases per day u...

  • My favorite part of this is "it's not realistic in the long term"Is the only option to have these rolling lock-downs until a vaccine is available AND widely distributed?

  • The terms state: Australian domestic and International Qantas operated flights with a ‘QF’ flight number booked between 25 March and 1 April 2022.So I would assume an Alliance Airlines flight displaying a QF flight number would be fine?

  • My first reaction would be Adelaide. However, from what I can see Sydney has an arrivals cap of 350 per day, however Adelaide has a lower cap of 500 per week. Wondering if a premium economy fare exists into Australia at the moment as a way of jumping the queue? Maybe Singapore airlines?

Skier - yes of course Sibelius or Reeves are quoting words from politicians and civil servants. Like it or lump it is they make the rules and you will be penalized if you disobey them. The plan is basically hold tight until the vaccine is available. I do agree with others that the NSW-QLD border ...
