HSBC have recently cut the Qantas points earn on this card. It was previously earning 1 Qantas point per dollar up to $2500 spend per month. That has been reduced to 1 Qantas point up to $1000 spend per month. They've also lifted the annual fee to $99.

There is some irony in that an ME3 carrier is adding seats and services between AU and Europe at this time that so many Qantas and Virgin international services have been cancelled and the staff stood down..

Couldn't agree more, Simbody. When flying out of BNE I suspect a transit via AKL would be much more seamless and less stressful compared to transit at SYD or LAX. Looking forward to trying this service when it commences.

May be worth booking an Assistance service, such as https://manilafasttrack.com/. Not sure if they will handle your terminal transfer though. Worth asking the question nonetheless
