I noticed that Alliance Airlines announced a purchase of 14 Embraer E190's this week to supplement their existing Fokker fleet. Could they be planning to step into some of the routes that Virgin/Tiger will be exiting ?

May be a silly question but if a farewell flight quickly sells out, why wouldn't Qantas simply add another on if the demand is there ? At the end of the day it's more passenger revenue for the airline (and more work for their employees) - all of which would be welcome at this time.BTW. David, ...

HSBC have recently cut the Qantas points earn on this card. It was previously earning 1 Qantas point per dollar up to $2500 spend per month. That has been reduced to 1 Qantas point up to $1000 spend per month. They've also lifted the annual fee to $99.

May be worth booking an Assistance service, such as https://manilafasttrack.com/. Not sure if they will handle your terminal transfer though. Worth asking the question nonetheless
