I personally have no problem of VA going LCC again. But Velocity's award chart has to change. Currently it is about 10% cheaper than QF's but higher than JQ flights. The award chart has to reflect the service of provides if velocity wants to remain successful.

Tthat's why these are only considered for low risk country. In fact I don't know why anyone from NZ (or any other countries that has zero community cases for >2months) need to be quarantined. How is it different from someone coming from interstate (except VIC)?

I actually prefer the 2 minute noodle than cracker dip! At least the 2 minute noodle can fill me up more. Just flew a rt BNE-DRW in VA J. 4 hours flight that's all you get. The return leg from DRW is especially bad as every food outlet in DRW is closed except a little coffee shop selling muf...

It is very clear that Bain direction to the new VA is more towards LCC than a full service airline. Currently it is so bareboned that you can argue that JQ is better (at least you can buy food). I just flew a rt with them to Darwin in business class, 2 minute noodle is all you get (or some other ...

On your passport it is very easy to see where you've been in the last 14 days. If you weren't in NZ in the last 14 days, they can easily put a stamp on your incoming card "quarantine required". You will then be redirected to the queue to get on the quarantine hotel bus. If you plan to enter NZ yo...

VA actually encourage you to BYO. At check in they warned us that the service will be limited and advice that I BYO.

Depending on what you are after. Citiprestige is not a good card for earning points, I would stick with platinum charge if that's what you are after. But if its perks you are after, there are some unique perks in Citiprestige that may make the $700 worthwhile. The biggest is obviously the 4th nigh...

Personally I would recommend you to broaden your vision and see beyond velocity and Qantas points. Altitude reward is actually very valuable and I would look into Krisflyer and Asia Miles. As to when banks will allow transfer to velocity again, I think that's no one knows. Bain capital has bigger...
