    My understanding is that within a status band, the priority is according to how early you place your request - so for example, of all the platinum FFs that request a seat, the priority will be assigned in order of request date.

    Ps I think 5A is the bassinet seat, perhaps this was why it wouldn't let me select it.

    I agree - the lunch and dinner options in Qantas business can be a bit light on the BNE-SYD vv route - usually a choice of a salad or a soup or a cheese plate.     Do QF platinums still get access to twin seats for free? I flew EK on a QF codeshare a few months back and it was showing a charge to select the twin seats as QF platinum. I asked about it and was told that it was only a Skywards platinum benefit, not QF platinum.
