Hi everyone,

I recently booked a return flight to Europe on a QF codeshare with EK. At the time of booking I was Gold and recently made Platinum through a few more work trips.

However, a week since making platinum it hasn't updated on the Emirates side of things.Platinums get access to twin seats, which I would really like to book soon.

Any advice? should I wait it out?
If no, who's the best to call Emirates or Qantas to resolve this?

Just remove the frequent flyer number from the Emirates booking on the Emirates website, wait a few seconds, and then add it back in.

(If it won't let you remove it, just change it to a Skywards number, and then back to your Qantas number.)

Do QF platinums still get access to twin seats for free? I flew EK on a QF codeshare a few months back and it was showing a charge to select the twin seats as QF platinum. I asked about it and was told that it was only a Skywards platinum benefit, not QF platinum.

Answered my own question - only Qantas Chairman’s Lounge get free Twin seat selection, details here (scroll to the bottom for Qantas tables):
