Qantas fast-track check-in at Singapore Changi T1
The SATS Premier Check-in Lounge at T1 has finally reopened.
Less time in the queue and more time in the lounge?
That’s the ticket for savvy travellers, even at an uber-efficient airport like Singapore Changi – and especially when you’ve got two great Qantas lounges waiting for you.
So the Executive Traveller team, being frequent visitors to The Red Dot, were pleased to hear that Changi has finally reopened the SATS Premier Check-in Lounge at T1, and Qantas premium passengers are on the door list.
Forget about standing in line. Take a seat at one of the check-in desks while the SATS agents check in your luggage and issue your boarding pass, then take a shortcut straight to immigration.
According to a LinkedIn post by Nick McGlynn, Qantas’ Executive Vice President Asia (who also shared the above photos), the following Qantas passengers are eligible to use the SATS Premier Check-in Lounge at T1:
- first class passengers
- Platinum and Platinum One frequent flyers, and their Oneworld Emerald equivalents
- members of the invitation-only Chairman's Lounge
Having a memory of the SATS Premier Check-in Lounge at T1 previously welcoming business class passengers, we’ve contacted SATS to see if that still stands, or if business class passengers will be standing in line at the regular Qantas check-in counters.
