If anyone has access to one of the sites which provides data on available business class seats, could you please let me know how many seats are still unsold on SYD-JNB (18th May) and return on 28th May? I want to know the chances for our upgrade.

Hey Mspcooper, seeing J4 on both 18th and 28th. Rest of the plane looks pretty full so upgrade looking unlikely.

Thank you sid. Great help. Does J4 mean, only 4 seats have not been filled up in J class? As a platinum, i have requested points upgrade for 4 of my family, hence the information is useful.

Yes, that's correct. At the moment there's unprecedented demand for travel and not much capacity so it's very hard to get an upgrade. Good luck with it!

Take a look on ExpertFlyer and it will show you. Can do free searches easily on this app for any flight

I had no idea you could do that for free on expertflyer app. I looked at their website, and from what i understood, it was a premium access
