Velocity reward changes for partner airlines in October

Hi all,

I’m planning to redeem 2 tickets on Etihad and noticed on Velocity’s website that there are some changes coming up for tickets issued from the 5th of October, including a reduction in the number of points required and was wondering if I read the chart correctly?

I was also confused by whether a USD partner airline surcharge is already in place or will be implemented/adjusted from the 5th of October also?

One last question, is there a mapping between Etihad fare class and velocity reward tickets in Economy, particularly regarding the luggage allowance?
