After the news this week, it looks like the VA IPO is becoming more of a certainty. Does anyone have any insight or thoughts of what the prospectus might contain. I'm particularly keen to see what truth there was to the 'REX buyout and Air New Zealand merger talks' that surfaced in September last year. Both have merits ie transferring capacity from REX regional AUS and ANZ Trans-Tasman networks, that feed into the QF across to VA.
Can't imagine the IPO being pitched to retail investors, strictly un-accountable superannuation funds and 'wholesale' investment funds (for those retail funds and super funds that wouldn't want their names appearing on the Virgin shareholders roll).
Bain will retain equity, but for how long? I'm happy to remain a loyal customer, but VA2 will never appear in my modest portfolio.
