Does anyone know if Qantas use their A330-200's, without seatback screens in economy, on their Melbourne to Singapore flights? I'm booking a trip for next year and would rather not endure an eight hour flight with only an iPad for entertainment. Thanks in advance.
Had an A330-200 domestic config on SIN-SYD earlier this year in April.
Coming out of a modern, spacious Finnair A350 economy seat (they offer Y Comfort seats for OW Emeralds) to a daggy cramped Qantas A330-200 was a bit of a shock. I’m 190cm tall, my knees were sore for weeks after that flight.
I agree with Coughincontinance> Why on earth would you want to fly with QF when there are others that are so much better than them. SQ leave QF for dead as far as comfort and service goes.

This is part of a Finnair booked flight, so I didn't really have the choice.
I have flown on a domestic A332 (VH-EBE which has now been withdrawn for freighter conversion) on SIN-MEL which used iPads in Y instead of seatback IFE. It doesn't happen very often but can occur. You are more likely to get these older (Citylflyer) A332s on international services to Auckland, Bali, Jakarta and Manila.

Looking at the seat map, it certainly looks like an older version with no seatback IFE.
