Take a look at four airlines that have come in since 2000. Virgin Australia, Jetstar, tiger and Air Australia. Virgin Australia is good because it is a full service airline doing the best to fulfill your needs. Jetstar not be in good shape if they werent owned by Qantas - their codeshare is what is holding them together. Tiger is a disaster waiting to happen and Air Australia is slightly fragile. Air Australia is in it's early stages and doesnt stand out as being unique from the others. Why would a business traveller change to Air Australia. No lounges, no FF program and barely anything that makes them unique. I am just using air australia as an example because they are australias most recent airline to start up. Really the airline needs to outline the benefits it s going to produce and be unique to be able to work. Virgin Australia started from being a low cost carrier then moved its way up. Air Australia made the mistake of trying to start of as a premium airline. It didnt work. You really have to have a lot to start off with if you want to be a full service carrier as soon as you hit the road.

Would any other airline be foolish enough to directly compete in this cluttered market?

Unless more secondary airports in Australia open which can handle A320 sized aircraft (eg Avalon) in the major cities, or regional airports like OOL and MCY get high-speed connections to urban centres, there really isn't much space for competition in this market, which would invariably come from discount carriers and niche players such as Air North and Skytrans.

Yes, i wouldn't be? Why? There is plenty of room for another Airline inAustralia. What do you think your getting at? Deceiving the peoples?  the New B823 has plenty of potential to direct flights betwen OOS and PYN easily. I mean, if you run a car from TTS to YAS, you'd easily kill a rabit in 10 seconds, would you? A flight between SAS and MYC create less risk and in herrited dangers to create responses. A flight between EDN and HBT would take about 4 hours no doubt, with high market for it.
