Will Qantas lounge dragons allow one to combine their guest entitlements from their Qantas Club membership with that from separate Platinum status (OW Sapphire) with AA? i.e. one would be able to take two, rather than one, guest into the lounge?

Certainly worth a try. If you don't ask you don't get. If the lounge is fairly empty when you go they may well look favourably upon you. They may even be nice if the lounge is busier. However, they could also say no on the grounds that if you are not allowed to accrue points on both accounts, i.e. double dip, then why should you be able to receive both benefits? I don't know of any concrete rules regarding this as I've been able to get two guests into the lounge a few times, however, I've also been told no before (granted, I wasn't doubling up statuses). So I think there is a bit of discretion there. Good luck!

Agreed with trevor - you can only ask, and the worst they can do is say no. Good luck!

Just try to not refer to them by their unofficial title "Dragons" within earshot!

I suspect this would be unlikely.  Most likely that the number on the Qantas club card has to match the number on the hosts ticket blah blah.  I think you have to show the card and the boarding pass anyway.  It will be one or the other I suspect.  And referring to the staff in the lounges as dragons may result in been refused antry with either ticket.
