Has anyone flown SYD-SCL lately? Is it a refurbed 747 or are there still old F seats on the lower deck?

It appears that the old four-class config is down to three frames, none of which appears to be running to SCL.

FlightRadar24 says the previous five flights have been flown by VH-OEE and OEH.

All Santiago flights are operated on refurb 747s because the route requires only ER versions of the plane, similar to current DFW flights

Flew in April, refurbished config both ways. Interestingly enough my friend who was on QF107 the same day had his plane downgraded! Pretty sure the SCL route always has refurbished config.

If on an ER, then remember that seats 5B and 5J are the best seats in the house.  They're ideal for solo travellers, with direct aisle access, but the best thing is that they have a huge storage bin replacing the seat beside.

Thanks for the info. Good call on the seats Phil. 5J locked in both ways.
