Confusing rules regarding QF lounge access... According to the newish section on lounges under the 'fly' tab on the qantas website a QF platinum and a QC member can access a QF lounge if their next onwards flight has a QF, JQ or OW flight number. Which if you read the tag at the bottom of the page say that as long as u have a QF number etc. even code share flights get access (i.e. SIN - CDG on AF). But apparently Gold FF do not get this privilege.....does anyone else find this bizarre? I find this issue particularly annoying as I have travel to India soon, and with the axing of the Mumbai flight all QF flights into India are codeshares with Jet who are not OW hence no OW lounge access. Am I reading it correctly that Plat and QC get lounge access but Gold does not?

I think I found the answer myself... I missed the 'or' in the long phrase on Gold FF it seems the difference between Gold and Platinum is that a Plat. FF can access a QF lounge as long as the ticket has a OW flight number, even if the flight is on say SQ metal, where as Gold can be on a QF or JQ flight number OR a OW marketed and operated flight!  So as I read it QC, Gold and Plat should get access on a QF codeshare to Mumbai.
