Yeah I think you need to check your facts about how the other airlines are managing to stay flying. The are completely supported and backed up by their respective governments and their operations are subsidised. Were Qantas to continue running ghost flights they would loose more money...

Much easier for them to achieve their refit, it's only the Business cabin and galley that is have works done. Where as QF are doing the entire cabin, and possibly a 'D' check or some other major maintenance that takes a few months
