Does anybody know how much duty will have to be paid if more then the allowance of 50 cigarettes is declared? For example a carton of 200 cigarettes?

Depends on the cost of the cigs. It would be cheaper to buy at the supermarket. You will pay the duty on the full amount not just the 150 cigs.

It is best to declare anything that you think is over your limit .I declare alcohol when I'm over the the bottle limit and am yet to be charged extra duty for them.one carton of cigarettes is not huge so declare it and I would be surprised if customs charged duty on 1 carton of cigarettes if you declare them.my opinion only
