My wife and I are travelling Brisbane-Singapore-Frankfurt in Business Class early in 2013. I note from other discussions etc that, as part of the 747 upgrades the flight from Brisbane to Singapore is likely to have the new flat beds in business class. I can't get any info on the Singapore-Frankfurt flight though. Does anyone know if that route will have an upgraded 747 by March 2013?

If it is the QF005 it will definetly be the old 747 config; angle lie flat bed. I use this service quite often and I gather QF has no plans to change it in the near future.

Yes. The Singapore-Frankfurt flight is QF005. Pity. But, I suspect it will still be better than economy.
Strange that the shorter flight from Oz to Singapore will be upgraded but not the longer flight (at night) from Singapore to Frankfurt.
