I've heard that DJ SYD-DPS in Business is good value. LAN SYD-AKL in Business is good because it's 160 QF status credits for around $800 if you time it right.

It depends entirely on your point of departure.
As mattdc, LAN SYD-AKL-SYD is around A$800 but then LAN AKL-SYD-AKL is A$650.
Royal Jordanian have some fantastic runs on J like KUL-BKK, HKG-BKK. I've also seen a Finnair run BKK-HEL-MAD-HEL-BKK in J for A$2400. S7 has a $4000 fare for DME-FRA-SIN-SYD-SIN-FRA-DME in J on QF/S7.
As for Velocity, EY is your best bet on ex-BKK or ex-MNL routes.
