Hi everyone, I'm about to hit Platinum status on the QF FF program with about two weeks to spare from my loyalty review date. Can I enjoy the benefits of Platinum as soon as I hit 1400 status credits, or do I have to wait until the new membership year? (It's not the end of the world if I have to wait, but given I'll be flying once more before the membership year ends, I wouldn't mind the benefits of Platinum a little early! Cheers.

You will be able to enjoy Platinum Status as soon as you hit the 1400. It will then give you up to the end of the following year to requalify for Platinum again. But look on the bright side, you only need 1200 SCs to get Platinum requalification :P

Good job V1C! Platinum status on Qantas! Yes spentan was correct, as soon as it hits 1400 status credits, you are automatically a Platinum. The review date is so that people know that you need 1400 status credits by then to accelerate. Good job!

Thanks guys! Yes, just checked my FF account today and it definitely says Platinum. 9 months of weekly flying short haul sectors has got me there. Last night I asked nicely at the Business Lounge in Canberra if I could be let in as my return flight would get me to Platinum, and they kindly let me through. :)
