Can I purchase lounge access in Sydney airport with Singapore Airline premium economy class? I know the newly introduced premium economy doesn't offer lounge access. Has anyone ask to purchase? What about in stop over in Singapore airport?

No you can't, but you can purchase an annual United Club lounge pass that will give you access to United and Star Alliance lounges, including SQ lounges (except Krisfkyer lounges in SIN; only the bathroom-less Krisflyer Gold lounge is available in SIN).

You can buy a 3 hour pass to the New Air New Zealand lounge in Syd which is arguably better.. ( Up to personal taste of course)

Lounges generally overrated at port of departure while they usually priceless in transit. So if departure from Sydney I would not bother to pay any money for lounge access. YMMV though.

If you have the right type of American Express card, you will be able to access the Priority Pass lounges in Singapore for free. Unfortunately, no PP lounge in Sydney. Check Amex and PP websites for details.

You may wish to try get a day pass to the Air NZ lounge, however, please keep in mind that it is not guaranteed. Lately, I have had reports of people getting turned away due to capacity control. The lounge lizard keepers try to ensure a comfortable experience for all of the elites and premium passengers. If you go during offpeak time, then you shouldn't have a problem. I think that there must have been lots of complaints with no seating etc which has led to an even more strict day pass policy. I was just at this lounge last week during the morning peak period and it was crazy busy! For example, you order a coffee using their tablet and there was at least 20 people ahead of me just to get a coffee. #firstworldproblems I know! Haha
