I'm not sure when the best time to book is, but I flew Singapore Airlines to Paris via Singapore. They were excellent, I would definitely reccomend the A380 product. Only problem, entertainment in economy is limited, because it gets better depending on the class you fly. Qantas is always good, A380 to LHR, BA from LHR to paris. Cathay is always a great choice, but the flight to HK is longer than to Singapore, and your likely to have the terrible shell seats from HK to paris. Try and book a flight that arrives into paris in the afternoon, I got into CDG at around 5AM and spent the day jetlagged, and walking around waiting to check in (beautiful, but after a 23 hour journey you want to be in a hotel room)

If you're not a member of any FF program, then I'd suggest either Emirates or Singapore Airlines for economy - reasonable prices and good service. December won't be cheap, I think your best bet would be to keep an eagle eye on any sales that pop up.

Thanks for your quick and detailed responses. At the moment no airline sells flights for this time (except air asia X), so i cant do anything, but i will keep my eye out for a good deal, especially on SA and EK
