Something of note to some... United to launch Singapore-SFO non-stop. Getting in before SQ?

Yes, but unless they have the best aircraft for the job it's going to be exhausting. 777's 3-4-3 yuck, some of the Business class arn't much better either, certainly not for the asking money.

The result of lower fuel prices, I suspect.

Heard on the news and noticed that UA will use 789 from SIN-SFO. It will be the longest flight by a Dreamliner as well as the longest flight by UA. Wowee for United Airlines!

no way I'd do this in Y. United, even in Economy Plus, woud be a torture for that long.
