Hey everyone,

Just need some seat advice. Taking SQ 232 from Sydney later in the year and have selected seats 18D and 18F as they appeared to be bulkhead seats on the seatmap. Though after doing some reading they don't seem to be readily mentioned as bulkhead seats.. can anyone confirm this? I just want the full wide bench to stretch out.. thanks!

Hi Rach, you might want to mention the type of A380 you'll be flying on if known (some have different layouts), which will allow more people to help you. :)

Or the date of the flight...

I picked a date at random on Seatguru and got this map: which does indicate a bulkhead, close to the galley for early snacking and meal preferences. Good call.

Sorry everyone!

It's on the a380 and departure 9 November. SeatGuru shows it's the front of the cabin but doesn't describe it as a bulkhead seat

Thanks MRYJDrake! Phew I started second guessing myself with the seat choice but looks like it's a good one!

Row 18 is not a bulkhead row on any of the SQ A380 seat maps.  Best row of J on all SQ aircraft is Row 11 as they use this number for the first row of J in all aircraft.

Hi elchriss0,

Do you know that from looking at SeatGuru seatmaps, or from personal experience on the aircraft?
I really want row 11 but of course it's blocked on both my flights. Which is really annoying as I'm paying full fare J class and surely that means you can have any seat you like.. apparently not..

I referred to the singapore airlines fleet website:

The Row 11 comment is from personal experience but not specifically on A380.  I also have 4 flights upcoming in J, 3 of which are in row 11 on 77W and A359...row 14 on the A333 which is kinda 'meh'.

I'm booked in 18D and 18F on SQ231 from SIN to SYD in 3 weeks time... had the exact same thoughts you are having now.

I've decided to stick with these seats and will see how they go. I'll report back here :)

Hi Rach24, came back from the trip and happy to report that 18D and 18F are decent seats. They are bulkhead seats with a wide bench to stretch out. Meals and service was reasonably quick.

It is close to the galley so noise may occur, but in my case I slept soundly :)

Hi happytraveler00,

Sorry for my incredibly tardy response but thank you so much for getting back to me! This is great news.. I'm hoping because our trip over to SIN on the a380 is during the day the noise shouldn't be too much of a worry. Can't wait for the trip. Thanks again :)
