    I see where you're coming from but if I'm paying $6000 for a return journey to the west coast I expect to get a seat in the lounge, which often doesn't happen (esp when flying one world out of Sydney)

    Yes good comparison. But I also must make note regarding lounges. The qantas business lounge at Sydney is always so busy it totally ruins the experience that should feel 'exclusive'. I shudder when thinking about flying out of Sydney on a QF or partner flight in the mornings. That's why these day...

    This does truly look woeful.. After a recent trip to the states flying multiple carriers I was truly shocked at the offerings in the lounges we visited not to mention the 'first class' offerings on board, I use that loosely! The highlight would have been a crockpot full of canned chicken soup.. Y...

    Thanks Chris good to know! We will likely only check in maybe 6 hours early ( which I know is still early) but hopefully won't have any problems.
