As an aviation commentator and blogger (at Crikey) Ben's work was very special (and to many of us his more or less daily aviation blog was not only one source, but by far the best source of aviation commentary (perhaps globally), with a great following. He will be missed greatly by the aviation community.

Such a loss, always loved reading his articles. Will be weird not referring to Plane Talking in the future for all things aviation.

A big loss for aviation journalism! Like others here I've been following his blog for many many years.
