Hi all,

I'm flying LHR-SIN-MEL-CBR next month. The last flight to CBR is operated by VA, but badged with an SQ flight number.

I just wanted to confirm that, even though that flight is operated by VA, I will still get status credits - via SQ - if I use my AirNZ Airpoints number? It's a little touch-and-go whether I will maintain status so just wanted to double check.

Thanks!

I don't think you will with Airpoints. I thought it had to be operated by a Star Alliance carrier and not just the code. With SQ you would but I don't think you will with NZ.

Afraid not.

When a flight is operated by an airline which isn't a partner of the frequent flyer program there is no earning rights.

In this instance there is a codesharing agreement between VA and SQ. However, there is no frequent flyer partnership between Velocity and NZ AirPoints.
