Flying Qantas from Auckland to Brisbane in a few days and can't upgrade using points. Do you guys know if Qantas has been known to have paid cash upgrades to business at Check In and if so how much? Flying a330 so would be good to try out the product.

In my experience w/ QF, they never offer upgrades at Check-in.
I once asked specifically for an upgrade to J (SYD-MAA, via SIN) and they agent said and mentioned, I quote, "No sir. No upgrades available and anyways Qantas doesn't provide upgrades at check-in, you'd have received an email if you're eligible for an upgrade"
