Hello, after a number of years I didn't re-qualify for platinum status (quelle horreur I know..) and was wondering how the Sydney business refit was coming along? The images of their Perth and Brisbane lounges look quite impressive in comparison to the fairly dated state of the Sydney lounge but the only equivalent I have visited is the Singapore lounge which imo is very sleek. Will be doing several intl trips in Q3 so any updates would be great to hear.
Great idea, thanks. The EK site doesn't seem to list the operating hours of the SYD lounge but google says it's 24 hrs which cannot be given the curfew...
In my experience, the EK reception staff aren't the most friendly/welcoming when you do this. Just have to let them have their spiel, smile and say thanks, when the recommend you use your own lounge because they don't do boarding calls. Have experienced this at Syd, Mel and Akl.

Good idea! I'm also dropping to Gold in a few months and wasn't looking forward to the QF J lounge so I might hop over to EK.

At least it has a view, and is split into mini-rooms. Whatever they do it's still going to be busy at peak times.
