I'm trying to get my head around the new COVID testing requirements announced for trave after February 25 for a SQ flight from LHR to SYD transiting in Singapore.

Apart from meeting the vaccination requirements for the flights, the way I read it, I now no longer need any a COVID test (PCR or RAT) to board the flight to Singapore but I still need PCR test taken within 3 days of my flight to meet entry requirements into Australia. If that's the case, then I need to get my PCR test in the UK before my flights.

Have I understood the requirements correctly?

From the Singapore gov website (https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/transit/overview):

> All transit travellers scheduled to transit in Singapore from 21 Feb 2022, 2359h SGT must take either a COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction Test; OR Antigen Rapid Test that is administered by a trained professional (i.e. self-swabs are disallowed) within 2 days before departure for Singapore and obtain a negative test result.

This lines up more or less with what you need to get into Australia: https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/international-travel/inbound

Singapore Airlines will send you a detailed email a few days before your flight, with all the vaccination and testing requirements.

Currently, to enter Australia, you'll either need a PCR test taken within 72 hours of the flight, or a RAT test taken within 24 hours of the flight. You'll also need to fill out a Digital Passenger Declaration.

Thanks Sibelius for a concise response. We are due to fly LHR to SYD via Doha on Thursday 24th. We have pre-booked a PCR test for Monday 21st to allow maximum time for the result to come through - still stressful. We only picked up the change from the ATD to a DPD via a Executive Traveller article on Facebook but then found it on the ATD app. We now intend to complete and submit this in on Monday, once the PCR test has been done.

Hopefully this new testing regime will change soon and we can revert to a time when the only worry is deciding which film to watch first.
