Qantas will run an extra 21 return flights across the Tasman to cater for strong demand over the mid-year peak school holiday period.
Between July 3 and 19, an extra six return flights will run between Sydney and Auckland (QF181/180), with an additional one-way service on July 5.
Brisbane also picks up four return services across the pond, running as QF119/120 between Auckland and the Queensland capital on July 4, 11, 12/13 and 18.
“New Zealand is a key market for Qantas,” said Qantas Executive Manager International Sales Stephen Thompson. “We now operate a more dynamic flying schedule across the Tasman, which means we can increase our flights when there’s demand and reduce them during quieter periods.”
Like other Qantas flights across the Tasman, the additional services will run on Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering both business class and economy.
Female business class travellers on flights departing after 6pm are provided with a Kate Spade amenity kit, while the gents receive a similar Jack Spade pouch:
Pointy end passengers are also offered either Jacquart Cuvee Brut Mosaique NV, Champagne Duval-Leroy Brut NV or Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve NV Champagne to accompany their Neil Perry-devised meals.
