• The new J Lounge is ordinary compared to say Brisbane or Perth. A big open, noisy space with furniture strewn around, it is as welcoming as an empty hangar.

I reckon they'll drop Perth to London and make it Perth to one of the European destinations. Improves their diversion rate and once the 380's get refurbed I'd imagine that the FF's will settle on London trips via Singapore.

  • I'll miss the Qantas First Class Lounge but nothing else at TBIT. Hopefully by the time the service starts Qantas will have worked out that 9 across in a 787 is stupidity and the next tranche will be 8 across allowing the plane a chance to be enjoyed rather than endured.

  • Sorry, I think the current SQ J seat is poor and I was in one last night and I'll be in another tomorrow night. Tight on legroom and the fact you can't go from recline to lie flat without a lot of mucking about explains why they changed. Interestingly there are no photos I have seen about how t...

  • A positive move by Qantas. A couple of months ago I'd log in to the Qantas website and get a "Too many failed login attempts" message and have to reset the PIN. Rang Qantas and told them I thought someone was trying to access my account. Let's face it, all anyone needs is an old boarding pass....

  • Could QF become an all Boeing fleet?

    Jun 07, 2019, 03:10 PM

Evidently the A380 is most cost effective around 8 to 10hrs flight time so up into Asia makes sense.

  • Might also be that the Jetstar 787's are getting close to their D Checks and as per the A330's, they get moved across to Qantas just before in order to keep the cost off Jetstar's books. There is more than one way to make an airline look profitable.

  • Sydney arrival shower?

    Dec 22, 2017, 01:13 PM

Hopefully when Qantas redo the Business Lounge in Sydney Domestic in 2019 they fix the shower issue. At the moment you stand around waiting for a shower to become available and half the time they aren't even serviced. Get them tucked away in a corner where someone on a desk can control access a...

  • Sydney and Melbourne Airports have become Duty Free Shopping Malls where planes land. On a world scale they are both appalling in terms of passenger amenity.
