I didn't get the email either (which is odd - I normally do), however head on over to the qantas.com page and its right there on the homepage for you to register. You will also get an email confirmation.

It is very expensive, but my current MacBook Pro has lasted 7 years and is only now crapped out with display issues - was working fine before that albeit slightly reduced battery life. A very good innings in my opinion!

The fastest way, if possible, is get an 'eligible family member' to transfer (loan) you the points. These transfers happen instantly. Points are usually posted/awarded after the flight however, sometimes a couple of days after. I reckon you'd see them in your next anniversary year..
