Do I have to pick up my checked bags when transiting in LAX from JFK to Sydney? On the way in I had to, but that was because LAX was my first port in the USA. Wondering how it works when leaving the USA.
If you are on the same ticket, then they should be checked all the way through. If you are on separate tickets, ask at the counter if they will, but likely that they will not check bags all the way through.
