Should you apply for the new Star Alliance credit card?
Nov 09, 2022, 09:46 AMInteresting that they decided to launch this in Australia first considering we don't have a Domestic Star Alliance airline. Wonder if this could pave the way for VA to join Star Alliance. VA are getting closer with UA, AC, and obviously with SQ too, be interesting to see what happens.

MPC Update
Feb 18, 2024, 03:51 PMI did US pre-clearance at YYZ in October and they didn't even need my passport! Scanned my face with a little webcam, asked why I was going to the US and walked through. Never seen anything like it. Sure beats the lines at LAX!

Lounge access JQ classic reward
Aug 08, 2023, 08:59 AMOnly if you're Platinum with QF. If you're Platinum with another OW airline you won't get access to any lounge (unless they are having a good day). Though when I flew MEL-BKK on JQ as QR Platinum last year they di let me into the MEL QF Business Lounge.

7 hour layover in LAX
