Flighty rolls out smart new iOS 26 features
New features are taking flight, from AI smarts to CarPlay integration...
Flighty is probably the favourite flight-tracking app of iPhone-toting travellers, with millions of people relying on this award-winning app for timely alerts on delays, gate changes, cancellations, and much more.
It’s not just loaded with powerful features – Flighty is also incredibly good-looking, and takes full advantage oF iOS integration with widgets and notifications.
And just in time for the release of Apple’s latest iOS 26 software on Monday September 15, there’s a significant Flighty update which taps into all that fresh iOS goodness, including the Liquid Glass design.
Here’s a rundown of what you can expect in this latest version of Flighty, which will be rolled out as a free upgrade for all customers.
Live Activities are clearer than ever, giving travellers real-time data about their flight from their lock screen, including departure gate, delays, baggage claim, itineraries, and more.
The paid Flighty Pro app extends Live Activities to CarPlay, to perfectly time those airport pick-ups.
New toolbars throughout the app put essential actions within easy reach, from selecting preferences, finding alternate flights, managing friends' flights, alerts, and sharing your flight.
There are also enhancements to flight tracking across Europe and Asia and “increased global accuracy” for flight status, baggage claims, gates and tail numbers.
Likewise, Calendar imports are now claimed to be more accurate, reducing added-flight errors and manual tracking
To top it off, Flighty is introducing a new AI model which automatically learns formats across airlines and itineraries to deliver fewer errors and wider capability.
Flighty is free to try, with the full feature set available for your first three flights – which is all it should take to convert you to the Flighty family.
Flighty is available on paid weekly and lifetime plans, but best value is undoubtedly the annual plan of US$59.99 (which Flighty represents as a low US$4.99 per month).

Great news! I purchased the lifetime Flighty subscription once App In The Air went under last year, couldn't live without it now!

For those of us on Android, there does not seem to be a great replacement for the much missed App In the Air... :-( Loved the dedicated watch face too...

Sadly nothing like this for Android after the loss of App In the Air. Was a great tool with a great dedicated watch face too.
