Can a Platinum Qantas FF get access to the American Airlines lounge at LAX when flying domestically (no international connection and no QF codeshare)? I've been told at the lounge desk when flying from LAX to Denver before (when Gold FF) that you had to have an onward international flight to get access but I'm not sure that is correct.

I have been given access to the AA lounge in LA, St Louis and New York with no onward international flight and that was with a Gold Card only. I thought that was part of the One World deal, one in all in!!!

The oneworld lounge access page says yes, but who knows what AA's lounge dragons may say on the day? I recommend printing off the lounge access page before you go for added ammunition.
Thanks, I've got a 2hr 30minutes connection on an American Eagle flight which might mean being bussed back to the main terminal but figure it would be best to spend that time in the lounge.

Yes, as a platinum you should be able to access Admirals Club lounge and as recently as September I was given access to the Admirals Club at EWR ( EWR to LAX with 4 day stop over) and also flagship lounge (at terminal 4)for domestic flights within the US (LAX to DFW and also LAX to San Diego) and also from those cities returning to LAX. So I dont think this will be problem at all. The American Eagle terminal has no lounge so your idea is to spend the time in the club for as long as possible before you have to transfer is a good one.
