When did you apply?

When they had their brief status-match offer running in February, it took about a month.

At the end of february I checked my Etihad Guest account and had recieved the match and a note in my account told me a Gold Pack had been sent out. I didn't receive anything, so after checking my details for address etc, I wrote to Etihad (16th April) explaining I didn't recieve my card and advised them of my details. Etihad replied saying another pack had been sent out and to wait around 6 weeks. On 27th May I wrote to them again advising that the second card had not arrived, again advising them of my postal details. I received further communication from Etihad advising that a third card had been sent out on 8th June. Still no card has arrived.

It doesn't make a great deal of difference as my account shows the Gold Status match level, but I find it hard to believe that 3 times a card has been sent out and 3 times it has been lost, especially after personally sending the correct details on a number of ocassions and getting confirmation that those details have been received. Makes me think that a card has never been sent.

I also applied for the Gold status match a few months ago, two days before they changed the terms and conditions that made it for UAE residents only. I provided all of my Virgin Gold documents that were required. I received an automated email saying they'd received my submission. One month later, I'd still recevied nothing still so I followed this up with another email to which I received another automated reply. Here we are six months later and still nothing from Etihad and certainly not a Gold member. Needless to say it has left a sour taste in my mouth, pretty poor service if you ask me. Their communication on the matter has been non-existant.

My experience is the same (except from QF Plat), the lack of communication from them certainly has given me a perception of how important my business is to them.

My experience exactly with the same promotion. Of course, I'm always mindful that the offer of a complimentary Gold membership is a privilege and not a right. But, their non-communicative stance was annoying when you consider that they actually promised to inform all applicants of the outcome.

"pretty poor service if you ask me"

For a free product you have not paid anything for? How dare they?!!!

I'm aware it was a free offer, but they shouldn't offer a promotion if they're not going to deliver it. Zero lack of communication on Etihad's behalf is poor service in my eyes.
