travelling DPS to MEL on JQ in J but only starter fare, not max. Have family in tow ( wife and 2 kids) Have gold status with Qantas and Etihad. Options for a lounge in DPS? Should I just rock up to the JQ lounge with my J boarding card and 'chance my arm' or pay and use the priority pass associated lounge for the wife and kids ( I have 2 free entries)?? way out is easier as I an travelling on virgin

The lounge in Bali, even in the new terminal, is the single worst lounge I've ever come across. And I've spent hours in the Hobart Qantas Club. Give it a go, but don't spend a single (wasted) dollar getting in there.
The old lounge was actually better than the new one, unless anyone knows if there's a 'new' new one in the new terminal. Now even I'm confused. Ha.
Basically it's only partitioned off, not even solid walls separate it from the main terminal. It has a few small bar fridges of limited soft drinks, a beer, a wine, a juice etc. and a couple of sandwiches of the most suspicious food I saw in bali.
Oh, and the wi-fi doesn't work.
That is the single biggest first world problems rant I've ever had!
Seriously, avoid.
