Malaysian Airlines Status credits earning rates.

I am trying to figure out what the earn rate is for various Malaysian Airlines flights.

They have Promo economy and Promo Business, will you earn status credits for these flights and at what rate.

I need 300 more SC's to hit platinum so was going to do a run to Thailand as follows. PER-KL-MAN in economy. MAN-KL-BKK in Business both return, if I fly the first segment discount economy and the second segment Business class I should earn 165 SC's each way. Any info would be appreciated! Cheers.

Need to click on fare rules and get the first later.

The cheapest Malaysian economy fares are generally O or N class which don't earn anything on Qantas or AA. Business will generally earn

In which OneWorld program are you looking to earn? Status Credits is a term I associate with Qantas.

It is not possible to earn OneWorld status levels directly. You have to earn status in one of the OneWorld airline schemes, and that then gives you the equivalent OneWorld status.

To where are you flying? You say a run to Thailand, and then give a routing to Manchester.

The earn rates, and details of which fare class are in each category are at:

Try and fly JQ Business on business max if possible - might be cheaper - get a Red-E-Deal to PER-MEL and then hop on a JQ MEL-SIN-MEL then Red-E back to Perth - should take you close to 300 SC's.....

FF and SC's is all about Q metal these days.

I am a member of Qantas FF, thanks for that nixjet!

I never knew you could do that, and that return flight will take me to Platinum!

Cheers.
