When earning status with Virgin Australia, it says you earn half as much if you fly Discount Economy compared to Full Fare Economy, but doesn't say what fare is each.

When earning status with Virgin Australia, it says you earn half as much if you fly Discount Economy compared to Full Fare Economy, but doesn't say what fare is each. Is Full Fare Economy a "Flexi Fare" only? And is Discount Economy only "Saver Fares"?

Thank you.

Hi Maxwell. Yes the only full fare is a "Flexi Fare". Saver Lite and Saver are considered Discount.

And if you fly VA, you get 0.5 VR FFpoint per flight mile flown, but if you choose to fly NZ with a VR FF #, you only get 0.25 VR FF point per flight mile flown.

The crook of these 2.

This is for TT (TransTasman) or longer distance where you collect VR FF points per flight mile, rather than Australia dom where you earn points per $1 paid in fares.
