AA Boston to LA on a 757 - only 6 of us on board - I was the only one in first class. Everyone got the legendary first class sundae's on that flight!

New Year's Eve '99/'00, SYD-MEL on Impulse Airlines. I was the only passenger on board, and was even briefly allowed in the cockpit (beer in hand). I figured Millenium Bug paranoia had put people off...

Only passenger in business on Compass MD-60 and First on Emirates A330. Slightly incomfortable when close to full behind the curtain!

Before ugly deregulated zoo that we can see nowadays in very late 90 or very early 00 I was returning from Gold Coast to Melbourne in B767 and there where only 11 passengers including me – I specifically walk through the plane to count. So it was about 4% of load! Not only that – I was last passenger of airport that day – when I progress through airport lights were switched off behind me and everybody where going home. There was only one check-in deck opened in virtually dark airport and after check-in lady switched off her computer and asked security guard to show me way to the plane – I was indeed last passenger. When I get on the plane it took off immediately something like 15 or so minutes before schedule. I climbed very steep (I know that it impossible to be vertical, but it indeed seems to be so) and reached cruising altitude in no time like few minutes only. And they served us booze in economy for free. It was the best domestic flight that I ever had and it will not be repeated – few years ago I need to fly later from Brisbane to Melbourne and Qantas send us SMS advising that flight cancelled “for technical reason”. Yeah, they do not care about customer service anymore – if it cheaper to put 10 pax in hotel than fly them home, than so be it.

PS I wonder where there are downvoters? Clearly topic not related to lounge or first class on board menu, thus it must be downvoted.

I've been the sole passenger aboard a RotanaJet ERJ-145 from DXB to AUH. Yes, it was a commercial flight.

Sydney to Wellington on a Qantas 767-300 new year's eve early 90s. Only 20 passengers nearly all in front economy section. Only 2 in rear economy section as they smoked. Found out why on arrival - whole of Wellington shuts down for 4 days over new year!

TAA f27 Melbourne - Canberra on a Sunday morning early 70s as a child. Only passengers were my family of 5!

Northwest 747 Honolulu -Osaka September 1994. Only passenger at check in as everyone else Japanese tour groups. Upgraded to empty business/first cabin and spoilt rotten by crew. Given heaps of first class gifts and drinking expensive wines. fantastic trip!

Flight from Wellington to rotorua in early 90s. Wellington airport closed due weather. Was booked on ansett Nz dash 8 - cancelled. Rebooked on mount cook hs748 - cancelled. Ended up being 1 of 6 passengers from 3 flights on air nelson metroliner. No food and extremely rough flight as we were first aircraft to depart after airport reopened. Finally got to rotorua around 9pm. Nothing open. Dinner was pack of stale chips from servo!
