Was just checking if my upgrade request had gone through for tomorrow and I see the flight has been changed to a 737, anyone know why?

The best response that you'll get from anyone is "operational reasons". Probably it was a mechanical issue.
You sometimes get a hint of the problem of disrupted QF flights by looking at the website: theqantassource

I heard a 787 was stuck in Hong Kong necessitating the change
When I called to change my flight the only thing the rep could see was it was due to "engineering"
