It looks like we have an opening date for the Qantas Singapore First lounge, or at least an opening 'timeframe'.
The QFF Platinum newsletter which came out today is running a contest where three Platinums will win SYD-SIN first class return flights to attend the opening of the lounge, plus five nights' accommodation. The fine print lists the dates of travel as SYD-SIN on 21 November and SIN-SYD as 26 November. So somewhere in that week will be the opening of the new QF F SIN lounge :)

I've been told by very reliable sources that the soft opening of the Lounge will actually be within the first two weeks of November. Obviously the official opening would be around the dates mentioned above.

Wouldn't they open it on the night they flew out of Singapore, so they're actually at the lounge? If that's the point of them winning the prize

If there is a big media opening event which I'm sure there will be then maybe the winners will attend this, and this event will see a lot of locally-based people enter the airport with security passes because they are not flying out and be escorted to the lounge and back out again. Maybe this is what QF will do for the contest winners.
